Nestled in the hills of Southern Rwanda, just a short drive from the Nyungwe Forest, you'll find the Ibisi Mountain Hills washing station. This area is renowned for its stunning biodiversity and wildlife, with the source of the Nile River nestled within the dense rainforest of the Nyungwe National Park.
Bernard Uwitije, a local native, recognized the potential for specialty-grade coffee and transitioned from trading non-washed coffee to fully washed varieties in 2015. He built his first washing station in Gitega Hills, which quickly became a success. Encouraged by its performance, Bernard expanded his operations, establishing the Ibisi Mountain Hills washing station.
The quality of coffee produced at both stations is exceptional, reflecting Bernard's dedication and expertise. We're thrilled to include this outstanding coffee in our lineup and invite you to experience the rich flavors of Ibisi Mountain Hills coffee.
